Gustavo Sanchez M

Senior Director, Growth Marketing, AI Products

I’m a growth executive with 20+ years of experience building high-output, low-burnout teams at companies like Shopify and Dropbox. I specialize in scaling marketing and growth systems that compound over time, always driven by trust, velocity, and clarity.

My track record of scaling products, teams, and go-to-market engines sits at the intersection of AI, SaaS, and commerce. Most recently, I led growth marketing for Dropbox’s flagship AI product, Dash, taking it from zero to launch with a sales-led GTM motion focused on SMB and mid-market B2B adoption.

Before Dropbox, I spent six years at Shopify, where I founded and scaled lifecycle marketing across the company and led growth for the core platform as well as some of its most strategic products, including Shop Pay, the Shop App, Apps and Partners and Shopify Capital. My approach blends first-principles thinking, narrative clarity, and disciplined experimentation to drive awareness, adoption, and revenue.

I’ve worked across a range of global organizations—from Shopify and Dropbox to Microsoft, Adobe, and IBM—building high-performing teams and growth systems that endure. What fuels me: solving hard problems, creating compounding loops of value, and leading with both heart and rigor.

Specialties:

  • Product-led growth & GTM strategy
  • B2B/B2C lifecycle systems
  • AI-driven product marketing
  • Org design & team leadership
  • Narrative-driven, experiment-heavy growth

Mantra: Clarity compounds. People scale growth. Creativity is the multiplier.
